In the first post I gave general idea of my impressions from Beirut, Lebanon, trying to cover its multicultural image. The key point to highlight was the coexistence, very often not so easy, of different cultures, ethnicities and of course religions. Notwithstanding the differences and variety of religions there is still mutual respect for being of this or the other identity. And this is because these are mostly not just claimed identities but real, life-defining structure of principles and value systems...
Let's move on now and head to Byblos, also known as Jbeil. It is located on the shores of the Mediterranean see and is quite famous for being the hub of several civilizations, cultures, rulers, invaders, robbers, as well as researchers, archaeologists and scientists.
